The quiet craft of making complexity feel
Effortless
Ten years navigating ambiguity across cloud, AI, and data — designing clarity for enterprise builders, and connection for everyday people.
In a world that keeps shifting
where technology outpaces certainty.
What brings us clarity,
bring technology to people, gently —
design
This is how I design↓
I bring technology to people and turn ambiguity into clarity.
I'm a product designer who's spent a decade in the parts of tech that are hardest to make legible: cloud infrastructure, AI/ML, and large-scale data analytics. Today I design for Google Cloud's BigQuery — where the real challenge is never the pixels, it's navigating ambiguity fast enough to ship something engineers and enterprises can trust.
At AWS, I took two services from zero to launch — spanning hardware, mobile apps and web — and led UX for Amazon Lex. At IMDb, I drove the community vision behind ratings, reactions and profiles for hundreds of millions of movie lovers. Before that, I was the first design hire at an ML startup.
What ties it together: a comfort with ambiguity, a habit of simplifying without dumbing down, and a belief that enterprise tools should feel as considered as the best consumer products.
Where systems become experiences.
Five products across data analytics, conversational AI and machine learning — from factory-floor sensors to ratings seen by hundreds of millions.
One simplified Studio for every data practitioner
Simplifying the BigQuery Studio experience so data analysts, data scientists, data engineers and data admins can all analyze and transform their data in one place.
Accelerating conversation design for chatbot builders
Joining Amazon Lex as UX lead — clearing a four-month design backlog, building the team's UX foundations, and improving the chatbot-building experience.
Making predictive maintenance feel effortless for industrial teams
Leading UX for Amazon Monitron end to end — sensors, gateways and app — so maintenance teams without IoT or ML backgrounds can catch failures early.
From raw sensor data to trusted ML models
Leading UX for Amazon Lookout for Equipment from vision to GA — an automated ML workflow that detects abnormal equipment behavior from existing sensor data.
Ratings, reactions & profiles for a global audience
Designing IMDb's new episode rating experience, video reactions and user profile — three connected engagement features spanning responsive web and the native mobile apps.
A decade across cloud, data, AI and consumer media.
Each role sharpened a different muscle — enterprise systems thinking, ambiguity, or consumer craft.
Senior Interaction Designer, Cloud Data & Analytics, BigQuery
Leading design for enterprise data and analytics tooling including BigQuery — BigQuery Studio, translating deeply technical, ambiguous infrastructure problems into usable, trustworthy tools for analysts, engineers, scientists and admins.
Senior Product Designer, Community & Fan Engagement
Led design for IMDb's fan-engagement initiative across web and mobile — aligning 30+ stakeholders through a vision summit that shaped the org's three-year strategy. Early experiments doubled rating-campaign click-through.
Product Designer → Senior Product Designer, AI/ML Services
Launched two services from zero — Amazon Monitron, spanning hardware to apps, and Amazon Lookout for Equipment, landing 10+ enterprise customers in year one — then led design across Monitron and Amazon Lex. Also ran 40+ design reviews across AWS and mentored and onboarded 25+ designers.
Product Designer I → II, Founding Team
First design hire at an ML-platform startup — turned the founders' vision into prototypes that helped secure a $93M Series B, then grew to own design across the platform and three vertical solutions.
Enterprise rigor, consumer warmth.
0→1 Product Launches
Taking products from ambiguity to launch — two AWS services shipped on the same date, spanning hardware, mobile apps, web and console, from MVP scoping through post-launch improvement.
AI / ML Made Approachable
Turning machine learning into experiences non-experts can trust — automated model building, explainable evaluation, and conversational AI tools for people who will never write a line of code.
Enterprise & Data Platforms
Designing where complexity is densest — cloud consoles and petabyte-scale analytics tools serving analysts, engineers, scientists and admins in one coherent workspace.
Consumer Engagement at Scale
Designing how hundreds of millions of people express themselves — ratings, reactions and profiles across responsive web, iOS and Android, guided by a community vision.
Research-Driven Decisions
Anchoring every product call in user insight — interview programs, field visits, and insights databases that turn what customers say into what teams ship.
UX Leadership & Mechanisms
Building the systems that outlast any single design: project trackers, personas libraries, research-shadowing programs, and onboarding that has brought 25+ designers up to speed.
